Dr. Allyn Edwards D.C.

Allyn began his professional career as a microbiologist working for the National Health Service.  He specialised in host defence mechanisms to infection, or more simply how bodies prevent and fight off disease.  This eventually led him to retrain as an immunologist and eventually gain his fellowship in immunology.

Immunology is an intriguing subject and he became increasingly interested in the interplay between the nervous system, the endocrine system and the immune system and how these three systems work together to keep us well.  Unfortunately at that time there didn’t seem to be any way within the National Health Service to use this information constructively for the patient’s benefit.

When Allyn came into contact with chiropractors he realised that they had found a way to integrate these three systems in a therapeutic way.  He retrained in chiropractic and went into private practice.  He eventually became a Senior Practical Tutor at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic.

A chance discovery in the college’s library in 1996 made him realise that there was one more component that needed to be taken into account, as chiropractors, and indeed most other body workers, weren’t considering it.  That was the interaction of the body to the gravitational field of the Earth.  An interaction with gravity which is less than optimal stresses the whole body and adversely affects all the systems of the body.

Together since 1998

By 1998 Allyn and Sue had tracked down Dr. LaMar Rosquist DC who was teaching a technique to restore a more favourable relationship between the body and gravity.  They went over to Salt Lake City in America to train with him.  Dr. Rosquist asked them to do his teacher’s training course and return to Europe to teach the technique to suitable practitioners there.

They became the European Tutors in 1998.  Dr. Rosquist encouraged them to refine and develop the technique for their generation, just as he himself had refined and developed an earlier technique for his generation.

In 2008 Dr. Rosquist retired and charged Allyn and Sue with taking the technique forward into the future.

In 2014 the name of the technique was changed to Core Postural Alignment as this name reflected what the technique had evolved into.

Dr. Sue Weller B.Sc., D.C.

Sue has been a practising chiropractor since 1990 and has had several clinics in both the London and the Midlands area.

Prior to undergoing her chiropractic training Sue was a science teacher in a high school. After graduating from the McTimoney Chiropractic College, she was asked to assist with the practical teaching at the College. Ultimately Sue became the Principal Practical Tutor at the College, a post she held for three years.

While developing a continuing professional training programme for the college in 1996 she came across the work of Dr. LaMar Rosquist DC.  His work explained the importance of posture and the body’s relationship with the gravitational field.  This was a pivotal moment in her understanding of health and wellness.
We hope to see you on one of our courses soon.
